Melinda M. Newell, PhD

Melinda has been working as a jury consultant since 2001. She has experience in all types of civil matters including product liability, employment, securities fraud, insurance, toxic tort and intellectual property in both state and federal courts. She has also worked on criminal cases involving white collar crime. While much of her work has been on the west coast, she has worked on cases and helped select dozens of juries in venues from coast to coast. One of the highlights of her career was assisting in picking the jury in the first all virtual jury selection in Oakland during the pandemic in 2020. When she is not working, she enjoys running on the beach, digging in her farm-to-kitchen garden, enjoying the abundant southern CA sunshine, and spending time with her family.
