" I have worked with Mark, Ross, and on a variety of cases, each of which presented its own special challenges. They have never failed to bring an important insight to the persuasive presentation of evidence. They have also been skilled at adapting their work to the needs of the particular client, both as to goals and costs. They are my consultants of choice."

"It is quite easy for lawyers to be persuaded by their own arguments.  Understanding whether jurors will be persuaded by those same arguments is more challenging.   Pat Hastings' insights into strategies for juror persuasion are invaluable.   She sees the big picture and helps with all the small details."

“Our firm has found R&D Strategic Solutions to be extremely helpful in our med mal cases in preparing our clients for deposition and trial as well as helping us through focus groups and mock trials to not only place a monetary value on our case but to give us insight into how jurors receive certain evidence. We have found the personnel amazingly knowledgeable about the medicine and the issues in the case and frequently they can offer constructive criticism to our clients, which could be viewed as lack of confidence if coming from the attorney. Our clients are impressed we have engaged such experts to assist in the defense of the case."

John C. Edwards, Esq.

Insightful in understanding the problems of our clients and working well within the team framework to develop practical solutions to those problems. They understand the legal process well, and are great at using their considerable intellect to help us work through very tough issues. Not only do they think outside of the box, but also encourage us to do the same. Great people to have on your team in difficult situations.

1) What sets R&D apart from other jury consultants is its disarming approach with mock jurors, which consistently elicits from the jurors full and candid reactions to a case and its lawyers.

2) Although the R&D team employs the latest demonstration and polling technology, their true value lies in their interpretation of case data and their vision of winning case themes.

3) David Davis and his team are trial-seasoned veterans who bring the experience of thousands of cases to bear in the development of effective trial themes and strategy.

Mark Sobus and Dan Jacks are my "go to guys" at R&D Strategic Solutions, especially when the stakes are high. They provide invaluable assistance to attorneys in the analysis of the case. Further, they allow the clients to understand the real issues.

"Ross, Reiko and Mark are the very best. Without them, our team is incomplete. We define issues together, we vet themes together and we go to trial together. Preparing for trial without them is like preparing for cross without a strategy."

“I’ve been involved in some very tough and high profile cases. It’s invaluable to have the people of R&D by my side giving me critical feed back on case strategy and tactics.”

Our company was faced with a series of "bet the company" cases, so we enlisted R&D, from the outset, to help us chart our course toward a successful defense. They worked with counsel and witnesses to develop the themes of our defense, then guided us in how best to present those themes. The latter included not only working with deposition and trial witnesses and preparing demonstrative aids, but also working with our various trial counsel to form a trial team stronger than the sum of its individual parts. They led us through two mock trials to further refine our approach. By the time of the first trial, our trial team was poised to present the best
possible defense, in a thorough, yet efficient manner. Throughout trial, R&D stood with us, as eager to win as any member of our team. The result - A Defense Verdic

Dr. Davis has provided my clients and me with invaluable assistance in a number of major trials. On any high exposure case, Dr. Davis is my first choice. In my 26 years of trial experience, I can say without hesitation that Dr. Davis is simply the best in his field. In fleshing out trial themes, preparing witnesses, profiling prospective jurors, creating persuasive exhibits, and conducting mock juries, Dr. Davis' work is always brilliantly intuitive, perceptive, and most importantly, useful.

"R&D are the best in the business. We have worked together in over a dozen cases for many of the largest corporations in America; in each case, R&D’s contributions were important ingredients in our success and our clients have often then proceeded to retain R&D for help on other matters."
